Welcome to the South Shore Racing Council. The purpose of the organization is to promote sailboat racing along the south shore of Lake Ontario and provide a venue for high-quality mixed-fleet races and regattas.
Now in it's sixth sailing season in 2007, SSRC will conduct a 2-day spring weekend regatta, a 2-day fall weekend regatta, and a 3-race Monday evening series, in the waters off Rochester harbor. The events are designed to be invitational, open to members of Rochester Yacht Club, Genesee Yacht Club, Rochester Corinthian Sailing Club, Brockport Yacht Club, Pultneyville Yacht Club, Sodus Bay Yacht Club, and non-members, too.
2007 SCHEDULE
SPRING WEEKEND REGATTA:
 June 2 and 3 (total of 5 races scheduled)
Two or more PHRF Spinnaker divisions and one or more Genoa Only division will be formed. A cookout will be held at RYC after the racing both days, and an awards ceremony will be held at RYC on Sunday afternoon.
MONDAY EVENING SERIES:
June 11 (if no race, makeup date June 18).
July 9 (if no race, makeup date July 16).
August 13 (if no race, makeup date August 20).
Three PHRF Spinnaker divisions and one Genoa Only division are formed. Food and beverages will be offered at Schooners Riverside Pub after racing each night, and an awards ceremony will be held.
FALL WEEKEND REGATTA:
August 25 and 26 (total of 5 races scheduled)
Two or more PHRF Spinnaker divisions and one or more Genoa Only division will be formed. A cookout will be held at RYC after the racing both days, and an awards ceremony will be held at RYC on Sunday afternoon.
